Broke again after racing over the crossing near the 900m checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened early in the run home. Stewards questioned Driver S O'Reilly regarding the manner in which she drove near the 900 metres, specifically her decision not to shift wider on the track when her runner was in a break. Miss O'Reilly explained that she had initially commenced to shift outwards to clear trailing runners however, LUVAVICI, which had been trailing her, had also commenced to shift outwards in an attempt to improve around her runner. As a result, she elected to maintain her position until that horse had cleared her sulky wheel. After considering Miss O'Reilly's explanation and reviewing the available replays, Stewards were satisfied that she had complied with her obligations and accordingly took the matter no further.
